STATEMENT FROM THE PRIME MINISTER

I am delighted to have been chosen by the people of Britain to serve as their first Prime Minister this iteration. For too long the UK has suffered without a government. We have seen inflation go out of control. We are in the midst of a terrible recession. High unemployment, a stagnant economy, low public trust and terrible broadband. These are issues my government will prioritise, so we can get the lights back on in our island home. I have proved my credentials as Governor of the Bank of England, I will not let you down! Additionally this week, I received a telephone call from the President of the United States James Polk. We congratulated each other on our election victories, and we discussed candidly about our own global concerns, which seem to be aligned.
