Emmanuel Macron new leader of the Labour Party and new Opposition Leader

It is the greatest honour of my life to be elected Leader of the Labour Party. I want to thank every member who took part in this election. Today, we come together as one party. The campaign is over, and the real work begins. The Labour Party exists to serve working people, strengthen our communities, and build a fairer future for everyone. That is the mission that will guide my leadership. To those who voted for me, thank you for your trust. To those who did not, I will work every day to earn your confidence.
