Socialism defeated: Germany has chosen freedom
Jiří Čepelka·

Germany has voted – and it has sent a political shockwave through Europe. In a historic landslide, the Liberty Aliance, the joint project of the Christian Democrats (CDU) and the Free Democrats (FDP), has secured an unprecedented 77% of the vote in the federal election, consolidating a super‑majority in the Bundestag and burying the era of fragile coalitions and technocratic paralysis. For the first time in post‑war history, a clearly pro‑market, civil‑liberties oriented bloc controls not only the chancellorship but the entire direction of the republic. The message from voters is unambiguous: less bureaucracy, lower taxes, and a decisive rollback of surveillance and welfare paternalism.
