ELECTION NIGHT EXIT POLL UK: CONSERVATIVES WIN 4TH TERM
Misty Gray·

Exit poll shows Conservatives to win another majority yet again, meaning they will be in power for a total of 20 years until the next election. Conservative leader and current Prime Minister Ashton Gilbert, along with his Conservative government were set back massively by significant challenges this term. GDP growth declined from a peak of 5% to -0.1%. With a crippled economy, the United Kingdom had also experienced nearly 25% poverty across the country, along with a raid declining population due to lack of child birth and significant cut back in migration. Nevertheless, the Conservatives have pulled through, though with a reduced majority having projected to lose 35 seats from their previous result. A turning point for the United Kingdom, the Conservatives have clearly shown they are still the party of government. Though questions remain whether the Tories will turn the UK around, and put it back to being a global economic powerhouse.
