US CONGRESS STALLS - BILLS FAIL BY GOVERNING COALITION
James Thurmond·

After both the Reform and Democratic parties refused cooperation with the American Independent Party over defense spending and other demands, two of the governing coalition bills have failed to pass the senate due to several filibusters launched by AIP senators. This comes at a time when the administration has been failing to meaningfully increase infrastructure and education spending as was promised during President Freitag's campaign. The AIP has been adamant about three demands: stricter immigration, stricter voting laws, and increased defense spending (as pertains to the Southern border). Reform Party Leader Ross Perot replied to these demands with a simple "No." AIP Party Chair Pat Buchanan told reporters last night that "If we don't get what we want, then neither will they."
