It's very troubling to see bad actors in the US and UK lie about Labour's defence plans. We blocked the "Royal Ordnance Base — Defence Production and Research Act", preventing a reduction in defence capacity, and passed the "National Service Establishment — Armed Forces and National Service Act" which increases defence spending by £220m p.a.. Additionally, this Labour Government has prioritised NATO co-operation and is actively in communication with senior officials in the US Government. Our stance on Vietnam is aligned and we are ready to defend the world against Communism. Any defence acts that were blocked or reduced before were done in the interest of austerity, as our debt was becoming unsustainable, and this policy has been totally rescinded now we are in a surplus. This is my decision as Chancellor. It is a testament to the Conservative Party's dishonesty that they would misinform our international friends in America in. It is also disheartening to see them write with AI.
