1.8.3: The 2027 world
Start a new world in 2027 across five playable nations, or rule a local singleplayer nation with permanent head-of-state authority. This release also strengthens historical seeds, background countries, elections, legislation, corporate investment and startup reliability.
The current era joins the historical timeline. Start in January 2027 as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan or China, with updated regions, parties, seats, demographics, budgets and policy baselines.
Singleplayer permanent head-of-state mode now matches its premise. A ruler can propose a validated national law and enact it directly without waiting for a legislature vote. Normal singleplayer and multiplayer legislatures are unchanged.
- •
Start a playable world in 2027 The new January 2027 seed opens the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and China with era-specific political, demographic and economic data.
- •
Every historical world starts complete and turns faster Every era-valid country now runs in player, expanded-economy, or NPP-only mode across every world seed, incomplete party and budget eras inherit complete data, founding elections fail closed, and index funds batch their bond reads.
- •
Simulate every sovereign country in the background Every era-valid sovereign country now participates in the world economy, using a lightweight background simulation where full domestic data is not available.
- •
A country belongs to one alliance, and a bloc no longer sanctions its own Greece sat in NATO and the Warsaw Pact at the same time, and its foreign ministry spent two turns tabling Warsaw Pact sanctions against Russia and China. Joining one bloc now takes a country out of the other, founding a bloc no longer makes a member impossible to lose, and an organisation can no longer embargo a country on its own roll.
- •
Explain the finance minister's budget projection The finance minister's projection now states its GDP, inflation and demographic assumptions, and explains when a shrinking economy raises debt-to-GDP even before accounting for new borrowing.
- •
Keep cabinet outcome metrics visible with facilities Cabinet offices with facilities now also show their national outcome metrics. The Attorney General can see incarceration and recidivism alongside facilities and upkeep, including before any facilities have been built.
- •
Targeted ads from Actions, including between elections Buy targeted ads from Actions at any time. Regional exposure follows your character across current and future races, while canvassing remains available beside it.
- •
Slim the local game payload to runtime files Singleplayer packaging keeps the standalone server, traced modules, mongodb aliases, sharp, static assets and launch script, and fails if source, docs, tests or plan markdown still ship.
- •
Permanent singleplayer rulers enact laws directly Permanent head-of-state characters in singleplayer can now enact validated national legislation directly instead of waiting for legislature votes.
- •
Native push notifications for AHDClient Mobile players can opt into private inbox alerts in AHDClient. New election, corporation and other inbox activity respects existing mute and snooze preferences.
- •
Keep military commands editable after unit removal Military commands no longer fail to save because they still reference units absent from the country's roster. Current assignments and local edits are preserved.
- •
Committee-only leadership elections no longer stop members standing for a seat A party set to committee-only leadership elections hid the Run button from every member outside the committee, with nothing on screen to say why. The setting is meant to decide who votes, not who runs, and the server always allowed the candidacy. Any member may now stand, the committee still casts the ballots, and the panel explains the split.
- •
Corporation charts preserve historical exchange rates Corporation charts keep recorded cash, revenue, costs and share prices on their original exchange rates while the latest market cap uses the live quote.
- •
Party founders can stand for leadership in the party they just founded Founding a party counted as joining it, which started the 24 turn membership clock that gates leadership candidacy. All three founders were locked out of their own new party's leadership races for a full day, so the vice chair and treasurer seats sat empty with nobody able to run or vote. Founders are now exempt from that clock in the party they founded.
- •
Coalition canvassing and targeted campaign ads New election cycles reward active coalition campaigning. Closely aligned canvassing raises turnout more strongly, while targeted ads help candidates compete for voters whose identities and politics fit their campaign.
- •
Consistent union services and monetary accounting Union services now remain active for the turn they were paid for. Money supply counts stored balances consistently, and monetary committees explain when a passed motion cannot take effect.
- •
Add a read-only account session check Adds a lightweight way for account integrations to confirm a current game session without loading or updating gameplay state.
- •
There is now a limit on how much one member can take from party funds each turn Party money could leave a treasury as fast as an officer could click, and a single transfer could empty one. There is now a per-turn ceiling on what any one member can receive, counted across the national treasury, state parties and caucuses together, and no party money moves at all in the last two turns before a leadership election closes.
- •
Let players fill Supreme Court vacancies An original Supreme Court justice now leaves on their historical departure date and opens a real vacancy. Later historical justices are no longer seated automatically over the President and Senate.
- •
Stop repeating the Supreme Court vacancy announcement A Supreme Court seat left open by a historical justice announced itself once an hour, every hour. The vacancy is now announced a single time when the seat opens.
- •
Improve sector investment and capacity recovery Ordinary sector expansion gets a 20% build discount, and heavy construction finishes sooner. Park surplus capacity while keeping a smaller operation running, and compare new builds using cash-return scenarios that include costs.
- •
Stronger operating returns from corporate specialization Sectors in your corporation's primary industry now receive a 10 percentage-point operating margin bonus, and secondary industries receive 5 points. Investment estimates exclude temporary market support and apply policy credits only to sales.
- •
Local worlds start with your character Native world setup leads into character creation, with local session navigation and character-gated turns.
- •
Singleplayer startup reliability
- •
Faster page loads on the elections screen The UK elections page asked the server for a manifesto once per contested race, so a screen with a dozen races opened a dozen separate requests before the manifesto panels appeared. It now asks once for all of them. Every page on the site also stops fetching two analytics scripts that have never existed on our servers.
- •
Party slates take up to three candidates per race A party may now assign up to three candidates to any one race, players and NPPs sharing the same slots, and every race says how many are left.
- •
Targeted ads as immediate campaign actions Open canvassing and targeted ads in an Actions window. Buy an immediate, slowly decaying bonus with fixed per-action costs.
- •
Staff can grant temporary singleplayer access from Discord /temp-sp-access on the Discord bot gives a tagged, Discord-linked account time-limited official client access (30 days by default) without a permanent entitlement.
- •
Party leadership hid the real race behind an empty duplicate The party page could show an empty leadership race and still block you from entering another seat because you were already on the real one. It now shows the race that actually has candidates, so withdraw and switch work.

Union, banking and monetary policy correctness fixes Union votes stay tied to the offered terms, bank loans and repayments respect current balances, and central-bank policy uses the correct authority and reserves.
